About us

We have helped over 80 schools, in 14 cities to raise over R15m in total since 1998. 290+ events with over 424,000 people in total.  We also have the largest network of connected youth through our U-NVRS promoter network

Mission Statement

Our aim is to help schools across South Africa to raise funds through school community events as well as under-18 socials. With a focus on world class event production, event management and remaining mindful of music trends, DJ exposure and creating the ultimate experience for schools, U-PARTY has and is perfecting a much needed fundraising formula. U-PARTY strives to create a safe space where youth can enjoy themselves and develop their social skills.

Our History

U-PARTY launched the under-18 socials in 1998 and as of December 2018, we have successfully hosted over 290 socials for more than 200,000 people, nationwide.  We launched our school community events in 2010 and  have successfully hosted over 30 community festivals on school campuses for more than 160,000 people. We currently operate in Cape Town, Durban, East London, Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Paarl, Pietermaritzburg, Polokwane, Pretoria and Stellenbosch.  School community events are becoming more popular for communities to gather due to the environment that schools offer. Under-18 socials continue to grow in size because teens expect the best in entertainment and we provide that and more by creating world class events on a school budget, through working with our industry friends such as Nasty C, A-Reece, LCNVL, Riky Rick, Timo ODV and more.

Parents and schools support the U-PARTY brand because our events are safe and secure. Our planning is of the highest standard and both the events act and local by-laws are followed at all times. We have an excellent relationship with city events departments who support our events which promote a healthy lifestyle for community and youth. No-one in South Africa has more experience than our team when it comes to school community and youth events. We have raised millions of Rands for schools, with a 2018 average of R79,000.00+ per event and our most successful community event raised R520,000.00 for the host school. Schools across the country are seeking new ways to fundraise successfully. This mindset has turned many schools and committees to the innovative U-PARTY team. The result: a fundraising success that sees sales of hundreds of tickets at firm prices with guarantees no other communities can offer.

My journey into entrepreneurship started in 1998. U-PARTY was born from my dislike for the cold school swimming pool, setting in motion a decision to find a way to raise funds in order to heat the water. After many years, U-PARTY is now one of several companies under the LIVE Group banner. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an amazing team, and the numbers prove that this is the best team that a youth events brand could want. I graduated from St. John’s College in Johannesburg and I hold a B.Com from Wits. Logistics, organising and youth development are some of my passions, and this industry continues to whet my appetite for greater challenges to tackle.

After years of running my own business in Durban, we relocated to Joburg as a family. 
I have worked in customer service and PR but found my strengths lie with admin. 
My efficiency works well within the team environment. 
I have a passion for helping the youth and working at U-PARTY is a top-notch portal to do that. 
I strongly believe that education is the key to our beautiful country flourishing and I am happy to be a part of that process in any small way possible.

Want to host your own U-PARTY at your school?

FAQ

U-PARTY will assist with the logistics, planning,security and marketing, including social media for your event. The U-PARTY team has extensive experience in these fields to help make your fundraiser a success.

U-PARTY works with an experienced security team trained to work at under 18 events. The team ensures no alcohol, cigarettes or over 18s are allowed into the venue. Security is placed around the venue at key points to ensure safety.

U-PARTY allows 12 -14 weeks unless it’s a community event which will need more time.

U-PARTY has been assisting schools with under 18 fundraiser events for 21 years but also has extensive experience and success with school community days. e.g. St John’s On The Night, Sacred Heart Music Fest and Waterstone Family Festival.

1. Physical: Tickets can be purchased at the school hosting the event prior to the event. Some schools allow tickets to be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

2. Online tickets: tickets are sold through a trusted and established online provider e.g.. Webtickets. Please check the event schedule for the specific event website.

3. PicknPay: Webtickets has partnered with PicknPay allowing customers to safely purchase tickets at a PicknPay kiosk. 

U-PARTY makes use of a trusted and reliable online ticket provider e.g. Webtickets. Tickets have individual QR codes which are scanned from a printed ticket or on your mobile phone at the event. Once a ticket is scanned, it cannot be rescanned and duplicated.
